I'm surprised how much debate there is about using chalk. There's nothing wrong with chalk at whatever weight ... from 135 on if you feel like it. It will absolutely not result in a weaker grip.
That said, it also doesn't make your grip any stronger, nor will it help with tearing callouses (actually it could make things worse).
