Damn Paul, it looked like you were pulling about 800lbs.
My first Intensity day was pretty lame. Loaded up 375 and squatted it twice. On my third rep I crashed into the rack like I did on my first 405 attempt. Tried to rest and come back, but only hit 2 again.
My deadlift is just downright shameful. Pulled 405x3 and then tried for a 455 single. Dropped it about 3in off the ground. Don't know what's going on.
My press was the only decent thing to happen. Got 195x4.
Were having a mock meet next Saturday at my gym which actually coincides perfectly with the Intensity day. I'm hoping to pull something out of my ass besides poop. I'll try and get it on video. This will also be the first time lifting in my singlet.
I just counted; 117 people signed up for this shindig.
Budget bumper plates be damned! 500lbs max you could fit on the bar with them. The guy you can hear shouting is bringing his iron plates in.
My last 1RM on the press was 215 (no video) on 08/31/2012, according to my log.
2 plates will be had before year's end.
And my gym (actually, one guy who happens to affiliated with 70s Big) is putting together a team for the Longhorn Open, in which I will be competing, on the team. I guess he's trying to get a rivalry going with the San Marcos Athletics Club.
Oh, and my body weight has been floating around 230. I'm looking to compete in the 242 class. Don't feel like losing weight until after the meet.
