    Just because he is competing in the crossfit games doesnt mean he trains using crossfit's dumbass MWODs.

    I think he actually does several metcons everyday. Is that what you're getting at or is it something different?

    Im getting that Froning works out several times a day many times a week. Some of those sessions are metcons and stupid kipping pull ups. others are strength training. There are many videos of him training doing heavy single or doubles for each major lift.

    Dont see many people doing that during MWODs.

    Rich Froning is most certainly not running the Starting Strength Novice Linear Progression concurrently with doing the main CrossFit WOD's. He may not define the terms identically to the way we do around here, but he most definitely spends time training for strength, training for efficiency of various energy pathways, and practicing the movements he's likely to have to perform in competition.
