Gym reccomendations for St. Paul, MN?
Not sure where the best place to post this is....
I currently go to a Lifetime Fitness that is not very friendly to SS style training (no chalk allowed, no lifting platforms, hexagonal plates). I am in the process of setting up a home gym and cancel the Lifetime membership. I would like to find a gym on the east side of the Twin Cities that is good for SS type of training to go to once in a while on the weekends or when looking for a change of scenery away from home.
Anyone got a good reccomendation?
Thanks

Just replied to your PM as well. The Press Gym in Shoreview, is probably the most serious weightlifting gym. Otherwise, there are a number of Crossfit locations you could check-in with to see if you could arrange a wt lifting only membership. I know The Athlete Lab, in Little Canada, has some folks that are into lifting. Check-in with Kate, the owner and see what you can arrange. My son did some Crossfitting there before starting college a few yrs back and she seemed fairly knowledgeable with regard to lifting. I just doubt that it is a strict Starting Strength only, base of knowledge. There is also a female trainer there that was a competitive powerlifter I believe.

The Press Gym looks like it might be what I am looking for, I will have to check it out. I really appreciate the help, trying to find gyms through google brings up an endless supply of Anytime Fintess locations!

I'm living in Iowa now, but I still have a house in the Cities and am up there a lot.
