    Hello Rip,
I've read many articles on how overhead lifting should not be performed by baseball players, especially for pitchers who suffer from a loss of shoulder internal rotation. I want to hear your oppinion on this.

The short answer is it's bullshit. A properly performed press will strengthen the shoulder and prevent injuries, including injuries frequently seen by pitchers.

And the long, detailed answer is located starting in the first few pages of the Press chapter in the book you should probably read. You'll know you've found it when you run across figure 3.4, which shows a picture of a baseball player throwing a baseball.
