That is pretty much what I had in mind. You can get them threaded, and then buy a threaded nipple that will screw right in. Should be quite a bit sturdier than PVC.

Whats the point of doing band assisted weighted pull-ups?

Interesting. That's the first time I've ever seen that.

Related: I don't really get the point of the vertical plate storage unless they're all supposed to hold the same sized weight, in which case, you'll have to make several, and need to have a lot of bumpers to make it worthwhile. I'd hate to have to pull off the 10's, 25's, etc., just to get to the 45's.

It's crossfit, they do lots of silly stuff. Let's not get into it.

yeah, there's no point unless you're also using chains. Those chains look badass

So people who can't do bodyweight chins and pullups can LP from a deficit.

    Example:

bw = 80kg, band which has 20kg resisitance at bottom position, 1kg increase per session

    bw + band = 60kg
    bw + band + 1 = 61kg
    bw + band + 2 = 62kg
    ...
    bw + band + 10 = 70kg
    ...
    etc

I'm poking fun at the retards in crossfit, of which there are many. There is zero reason to ever do band assisted weighted pullups. There is no point in using one device to remove resistance (bands) in addition to another that adds resistance (plates).

Yes, the plan is to make several of these vertical plate storage contraptions. Each one will only hold one type of plate. My gym has lots of plates.
