It's a pound more than he did powerlifting style. So technically yes, it's the heaviest deadlift done in competition, but it's not the same competition. Still impressive, especially since he's coming back from his injury if I recall correctly.
His 1015 with nothing but a belt is more impressive. The new issue of Power magazine has an interview with him, he is quite a character.

I agree the MHP meet 1014 pull was faster, but this one looked like it took all he had in him to do. Coincidentally, he had the best response to setting a world record.
This is old news. I believe Eugene posted this a month ago in one thread or another.
Sean, I think he tore his biceps a few years ago.
It's the only reason he hasn't bettered his own DL WR yet
I believe he also tore something in his arm 14 weeks out from that ESM meet where he just did the 1016, so it's not unsurprising the lift was pretty tough (aside from being a new WR). I saw a video from him about a week ago where he was only able to hold on to 315lbs without straps because of his recent injury.
