I've never been pregnant, but I'm sure laying down on a bench for a pregnant person would be really uncomfortable. And supposedly you can pass out from the person growing in your insides pressing against major blood vessels.
Was reading up on pregnant ladies training and avoiding exercises in the supine position came up repeatedly. Did a search on the forum on training during pregnancy but couldn't find anything specifically on bench pressing during pregnancy. A training log came up in the search and the trainee mentioned that she stopped benching. Does anyone have any recommendations or is it a case of try it and stop if uncomfortable? Thank you.

The problem with being supine during pregnancy is that the uterus can compress the inferior vena cava and impede venous return to the heart. To a lesser degree it can compress the aorta. These can create low blood pressure in a pregnant woman.
