Default Back Pop and Tweak on Deadleft, Clarification

    Hey All,

I've read several posts about people experiencing a pop in their spine and pain/tweaking of the back on deadlifts, but I wanted to get a definitive answer on what to do.

Sometimes, when I'm midway up in the the deadlift, I get a pop in my spine, followed by pretty localized lower back pain. It goes away in a few days. Happened three times by now.

So, should I get a hard sports massage, see a chiropractor, or just be extra careful on form?

(Age is 27 and I'm ~200lbs with mild scoliosis, if that helps. Deadlift weight is nothing serious, around 250lbs., but I'm still progressing. Started around 95lbs. though.).

    Thanks.

Pops in the back followed by pain are not normal parts of training. I think visiting a coach is in order. Do you haz any deadlift videos?
