    Hey Ripp,

I see in a lot of your videos you have a leather heavy-bag hanging in your gym. I was use to box and for years the heavy-bag/boxing workouts were my only form of exercise. After I read Starting Strength, I got into lifting and now train 3x a week with a barbell. I am just wondering what is your position on using the heavy-bag for a "cardio" workout on non-lifting days?

I haven't had a heavy bag in the gym since 2009.

Prior to CF. I actually don't remember when we took it down. Might have been 2007 or 08. And it wasn't leather. The OP seems confused.

It did look leather in the videos, but it was solid black so it was hard to tell. I figured you had it, because it was a better alternative to some of the cardio equipment on the market.

We use a prowler now. Easier on the wrists and shoulders. And link to the videos so I can see.

I will find the videos, I thought they were the Art of Manliness ones, but upon further review they were not.

For me, boxing has less to do with cardio (although it is great cardio) and more to do with maintaining the warrior skills.
