Hi, I am a beginner under training from a SS coach in my country.
Rogue B&R barbell recommended by my trainer but it is bare steel which will rust very fast in my country.
I am thinking of buying the Ohio Power Stainless steel barbell as it won't rust easily.
As I am new to strength training, beside better protection from rust, what other difference between the 20kg Ohio Power Stainless steel and the 20kg B&R barbell.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
You won't want to power clean with the Ohio Power Bar. The center knurling is too aggressive and you'll tear up the skin on the front of your chest and neck. Ask your coach if you're going to be doing the power clean. If you are, it should only a little bit of occasional maintenance to keep the B&R from rusting.
Noted. Will talk to the coach about power clean. Thanks.
If you aren't power cleaning then I would consider their cerakote Ohio power bar option; it's cheaper than stainless but has excellent corrosion resistance.
