This is no joke, but right now I set this song up for my deadlift work set:

The first time I heard it I chuckled pretty good, but when you are in the mindset of "pick heavy stuff up", it is very apropos.

Meshuggah. Frontierer. Conjurer. The Chariot. The Dillinger Escape Plan.

The heavier and louder the better for me.

Pantera, Disturbed, and 5 Finger Death Punch have been my music of choice lately. Iron Maiden and Judas Priest also work!

Absolutely, I crave music while working hard to be all but mandatory. Whether it be actually working, in the gym, sports practice, on the track, gotta have em. If I can't listen to tunes while I train I'm irritated.

None at all; the times I have I find myself unconsciously timing lifts to the beat which for a fast-paced tune, can be rather detrimental to heavy deadlift sessions.

For me its got to be heavy but with some melody (not really into being screamed at) a good decent speed (but not so much I feel like I need to be on drugs to keep up) so for me Disturbed fits the bill quite nicely

I always listen to music between worksets, but never during them. Current playlist favorites include Courtney Barnett, migos, and Travis Scott "Sicko Mode".

Currently listening to DANCE WITH THE DEAD and GosT, mostly, with some WASP and Guns 'n' Roses thrown in. I'd rather train without but my gym tends to play the personal trainers' Spotify playlists, which tend to be a mix of random club music and bad rap music.
