I’m usually listening to either Sammy Hagar or Chickenfoot radio on pandora these days.
I’m usually listening to either Sammy Hagar or Chickenfoot radio on pandora these days.
Does anyone actually hear the music while they’re lifting, or is it more to fill the void between sets?
Of Mice and Men radio on Pandora has been my go to as of late.
I do. When I was running, a good tune would always help me pick up the pace a bit. It may be just the way I'm wired though. I have to watch myself so I don't bust out singing along while waiting for my next set though...my voice isn't as good as Sammy.
I train in my garage gym and have a soundbar on the shelf. This week it's been: Fugazi, Dropkick Murphys, Primus, Rancid. I'll put music on as soon as I get in the gym but for working sets or if my mind's wandering, I often pause it. If I know the song, I can find myself singing along in my head rather than focussing on what I'm doing. Obviously, this doesn't occur with unfamiliar songs.
Here is the official SS novice routine playlist:

For grown ups we listen to Dillinger Escape plan with porn and/or a history podcast also on in the background
Gotta have Metal/Rock. Maybe once in a blue moon I'll do some 90's rap. Here's the 2 playlists I use and what they currently consist of.

-Dio
-Ozzy
- Good Metallica
-Iron Maiden
-Megadeth
-AC/DC (not metal, but still a mainstay)
"New" Metal (After 1990)
-Slayer
-Slipknot

-5 Finger Death Punch
-Not so good Metallica
-Bullet For My Valentine
-Killswitch Engage
-Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory and Meteora only)
-Disturbed
-Sevendust
-Tool
Nonpoint
You are welcome!
Shame on you, they've been around as long as Metallica. And if you like metal from that time period, what about Sepultura?
Or Testament?
As far as guys who are still putting out new thrash metal, Toxic Holocaust is fun live.
P.S. For history podcasts I like Dan Carlin's Hardcore History and Daniele Bolelli's History on Fire, but am always looking for others.
