Does anyone know what effective heel height actually means on weightlifting shoes?

Is it the measurement from the bottom of the shoe to the top of the heel or from the bottom of the inside of the shoe to the top of the heel?

The net heel is the difference in height between the ball of the foot and the heel when wearing the shoe. Some manufacturers don't understand this.

Oh good. That would make the heel height on mine about an inch or 20mm, not the 37mm or 1.75 inches it suggests. I was concerned the heel height was too great.
