Training at Westside is by invitation only. Guess who gets invited?

According to Louie wide stance squatting develops narrow stance squatting however narrow can't develop wide. I know that SS 3rd edition states reasons for a shoulder width stance squat.

Is it your stance that for general strength, nothing can be learned from the Westside methods? Keep the answer to one syllable please.

A few have been groomed from a young age (Chuck Vogelpohl, Kenny Patterson). The overwhelming majority were invited after they were already totalling elite or above. The system is designed to add pounds to the totals of high level genetically gifted powerlifters. It can work for others, but is way more complex than is required by 99% of trainees, powerlifters included. There are elements of the system that are useful but it takes a very advanced training age and advance introspective skills to be able to glean out the useless fluff.

The dynamic effort techniques are extremely useful for anyone wanting to get stronger.
They are an incredible tool, and in my opinion are the major contribution the Louie has made to modern strength and conditioning.
