I think everyone will say to np you body weight back up to 200, and then , , ,
and keep adding 5s to the bar
I am switching off from Mike Matthew’s BLS program and for the most part I have been at a calorie deficit the whole year. I read SS years ago thanks to AoM and Brett McKay but didn’t give it as thorough attention as it deserved because of finishing course work for college. I was a bit chubby and at the time it seemed like a good idea to drop a lot of weight. My main lifts have improved but no where near where I feel they have the potential to go. Even with the caloric deficit they still go up abeit slowly. So I think there’s room to go. I’m at a much better body composition but I’m a bit scrawny now.
I’m going to be on a trip to visit some family in Texas next week and probably won’t have the time to train at all so I’ll detrain and do a 5-10% reset on the weights when I get back into it and eat like a hog.
I’m:
Male 5’ 9”
30 years old
Went from 220 lb(100 kg) ->162 lbs(74 kg) (I think went a bit too far.)
Squat went from 105 to 235 lbs
Press 50 to 105 lbs
Bench 90 to 160 lbs
Deadlifts 145 to 280 for 3x5 I’ve pulled 305 for 1x5
I believe there’s lots of room to go if I just eat and do the program even if it’s not as long as it would be if I started on it.
And if you want to see the composition change it’s here

The obvious answer here has been missed by everybody....
If you're going to "milk" the program, it has to be at LEAST a gallon day!
I think the BBQ brisket I just ate in Lockhart, TX would work just the same. Not as cheap though.
