Essentially, when you can't get out of the hole.
I am a 44 yo male, 6'2" and 250 lbs. My squat is currently at 280 for 3 sets of 5. My bar speed is starting slow but I wouldn't consider it a grind as it's only taking me about 2 seconds to get out of the hole. I'm currently making 10 lb jumps. What should I look for to let me know when to drop to 5 lb increases?
Essentially, when you can't get out of the hole.
Ok, so basically wait until I miss reps.
I feel like my back is the weak link in the lowbar squat and caused me to miss reps today.
SQ/DL numbers?
Squat 285 for 5, 3, 0 today. DL 360 for 3 reps today. I forgot my chalk and lost my grip.
Dave, you're just not doing the program.
Coach, your intuition serves you well. I have been forced to modify the program due to Army PT requirements. I also reread the first three questions from a post you linked it to. I don't think I'm getting enough calories.
I don't think forgetting your chalk is an Army PT modification. I also don't think you're resting enough between sets.
