I always knew you were conservative and it wasn’t generally a problem because you mostly talked about strength training. It seems like these days even when you’re talking about strength training you find ways to make it about politics.

There are a lot of people who could benefit from your knowledge of strength training who are going to be turned away by your increasingly vitriolic politics. I’m just asking whether that’s by design, and it seems like it is.

    Ok then, Rip. So long.
This guy's right. I demand a soybean and tofu podcast next week!

I dunno man, I'm not a conservative myself. I'm a moderate. Though I guess these days I tend to lean right. But I think that's largely because of the left's larger and more socially accepted angry mobs. That stuff really turns me away. Way more than a guy making some remarks that reflect his views on a podcast.

    Hi Rip.

This is my first post. I am from Norway.

Actually your approach to training has much in common with the basic premises of a social democracy:

    1. Get weak people strong!
    2. 3 sets of fahve for everybody (yoda voice "no one excluded is")
    3. You care about facts (starting strenght) and cant stand the functional fitness industry (the establishment) and its narrow focus on profits and not on truthful solid content.

    All on a funny note!

    Happy holidays

Now, government ownership of the gyms! Make it happen. It's time.

Is this a good idea too?

It is interesting that Mark's claims about truth-distortion from the left were almost immediately proven true by posts on his board.

    Very interesting.

Rip, Thanks so much for setting the record straight about the U.S. beef industry. I admire your commitment to the truth in all you do.

Yes, I actually found it pretty informative. Specifically clearing up the "factory farming" misconceptions and explaining how cattle farming is an efficent method of using land that cannot be otherwise used to produce food for humans, to produce food for humans. Of course, I didn't really need to be sold on supporting the beef industry. Because beef is delicious.

My wife has a great comment about socialism, "it will work this time"! I finished reading Rand Paul's book "THE CASE AGAINST SOCIALISM".

Indeed. I’m all about animal welfare too. Happy cows taste better.
