Default Valsalva causing petechiae around eyes

Has anyone had the occurrence with the valsalva causing facial petechiae. Before I went to the gym, eyelids were completely clear skin(the reason I say this is because I had been having eczema issues as of late), when in to the bathroom to wash the chalk off my hands and noticed small reddish/purple dots around my eyes. I did notice when squatting/deadlifting it feels like my head is literally going to explode. Is this normal should I be worried.

Take your valsalva with your mouth open, and this will stop.

I get a small amount of this around my eyes, but I get more on my upper chest and shoulders when I deadlift heavy. Do you think the causes are the same as what jddichello is doing?

Dunno. I don't get it, but I'm not as strong as you.

I get this almost everytime I squat above 85% of max. I'm comfortable that I'm doing the valsalva correctly. I chalk it up to my pale skin making it more highly visible. I'll take a picture the next time it happens. Takes about 2-3 days to go away.

I tried with my mouth open, not as much of a head exploding feeling, but it still did come back faintly, and is gone today.
