    Likely just the way he happens to be built to keep everything balanced over mid-foot and setup according to the model. It'll vary slightly from lifter to lifter.

    Fair enough, Pete! I do have some long ass forearms though. Got a PR for a 5x3 today keeping it in a bit closer, but not quite THAT close.

    Close to the joint is what you want, no drifting forward at any point in the lift.

    I'm glad you noticed this. It made me rematch the video. During warmup sets with the empty bar, it seemed nowhere near his neck.

    But sure enough, when he added plates, there it was, bar closer to his neck than his chin.
