Help starting out
First, let me say that I am totally sold on Starting Strength and I really want to do this program perfectly.
My confusion comes from choosing weights for the first month or so of workouts. How hard should the sets be? I have chosen weights such that I had to focus and exert myself, but the form was perfect (to the degree that I am capable) and no question of failing a rep. So, if my next time squatting a 5 lb increase feels super easy, do I just forget that set and do 3x5 at a 10-15-20lb increase?
Yes, I know, when in doubt err on the side of progressing slowly—but I am eating, sleeping, and injecting my milk intravenously.

There are so many things you need to understand to even begin to speak the same language. Read the book and/or hire a coach, but read the book.
