Deadlifts are hard. Anyone who has pulled a sufficiently heavy weight off the floor can tell you about the physical and mental anguish that goes into a limit set of five. But that’s why we do it: hard things are worth doing.

This is an awesome cue. Implemented it today, it really does make the bar path seem shorter.

Steve - great tip to help focus on the lats!

I've been holding off on commenting, making sure I used it through a week's cycle of cleans and DL's (medium and heavy). The first time I used it on a power clean, it came up off the floor so fast it surprised me and put me back on my heels (I recovered). Pulling heavy today sure seemed a fair bit lighter than Friday's medium day, even though I was anticipating a grind.

Totally makes sense when using the double overhand grip. What about when using an alternating grip? Cue elbow back for the one overhand grip? I’ll give it a try on Monday.
