    Hi Coach,

Next month I will be working 12.5 hour shifts over a 20 day period, with the following roster: 5 days - 5 off - 5 days - 5 off. I am 40 yo, 180cm, 84kg, started NLP 2 weeks ago.

    A few questions:
    1. Should I train before work (around 3.30am) or
    after work (7pm)?
    2. Considering long hours at work and suboptimal sleep (likely 6.5-7 hrs), should I train with lower weights over that period or everything as per usual?

    Thanks 😀

    1. Do it when you feel best. You'll have to try it both ways to see.

    2. How do you plan to GetStrong with lighter weights?

Thanks Mark. I'll do everything as per program then.

From my experience, here is what could work for you:

During a 5 days of work try to do one trainig sesion and try to do it with weight prescripted in program. If you don't hit your numbers just repeat it next time but don't give yourself an excuse to do it. It is easy to do so but easy does not work.

During 5 days off try to do two training sesions.
