Worse, it's going full-circle. The government has a current enthusiasm for storing all of its data in the cloud (Amazon/Microsoft/Google). Which indicates that they're not even good (certainly not the best) at that.

So not only will Big-Tech have the sensors, and analysis tools, but also the raw data and analysis products. Of course, this is all protected from compromise by strict policy measures. What could go wrong.
