I don't know that I've found getting bigger and stronger on my own difficult. I never really had a problem with consistency in my workouts or staying motivated. I would however say that it was probably sub-optimal. I would no doubt be further ahead if I'd had the cash to stump up for a regular coach.

Squat. I knew what felt right, but I was always worried that I had the bar too low, like I was cheating. Ripp's take on the squat was a game changer for me. Wish I had found his writing years ago while I was still reading Louie Simmons.
Disclaimer, tho, i dont really consider myself big or strong.
