I might be trying this with my GP as well. Be good to share notes.
Interestingly, where I work had an awareness session on Women's Menopause (which is fair enough) with a GP presenting. I think at least two of the questions at the end for the GP were about the male menopause.
I do know that BUPA (UK priviate health insurer) won't cover it as it's a "consquence of aging". A chap also wrote an internal blog post about how being on TRT has helped his mental health, but his GP only has him taking it three weeks out of four. Pretty sure people on gear don't do that.
You will not get testosterone on the NHS if your levels are in the normal range, no matter how much you might be affected. Even privately with an endocrinologist it might be difficult. There are dedicated clinics which currently are the best option.
Any recommendation on which clinics to try?
Great Sex Pistols song
Could this be the same in Italy as well?
Are there any particular european countries where it could be easier to get testosterone?
Mabye the balkans?
No idea if this blokes' knowledge of TRT is good, but he seems to know about access to it in Australia -
"TRT in Australia is dogshit"
He goes on to explain how a specialist (after being referred by a GP) will most likely tell patients to stop TRT, so he/she can fully evaluate your need for it. So they can "Really make sure your T levels are low enough".
I wouldn’t say I pursue it. I just find it keeps catching up with me!
Unfortunately in healthcare men don’t matter. We die younger and no one is interested in whether we feel like shit because of something that may be easily treatable. You try seeing a woman with fatigue, depression, and low libido and not discussing a hormonal cause -- you’d be struck off in a second.
