    Default Flatulence during squats- normal?

Is passing gas during a set of squats normal, or is it indicative of improper bracing mechanics under the bar? Typically happens during heavy sets of 5 towards the end of the set, not usually an issue for singles or triples.

Happens once in a blue moon. Maybe try leaving more time between your final meal before working out and the workout itself.

3500 cal daily with a 275/375/100G spread (protein/carb/fat). No dietary restrictions or food allergies; drinking about 2-3 cups of 2% milk daily plus full fat yogurt before bed. Otherwise steak or chicken with rice/ eggs with sourdough or potatoes.

If it’s relevant- 5’7 198lbs, eating to maintain weight. Squatting in the mid 300’s for 3x5.

Pooping right before the workout or during warmups can help if you're not already doing that.

Strength training is the accumulation of improvements in the ability to produce force.

The preparation which allows you to stress your body productively to accumulate improvements in force production is the preparation you need.
