    starting strength coach development program
    When I was in my late 20s I was lifting weights without knowing what I was doing, trying to follow the instructions in M&F. I used a Concept II flywheel rower for cardiovascular conditioning. I rowed the way I lifted weights, using the longest range of motion I could (DON'T USE A LONG STROKE! YOU'LL HURT YOUR BACK) and slowly, but as hard as I could. My gym had a rowing competition on the Concept II. Despite doing everything wrong I easily beat all the best rowers, who looked like a collection of toothpicks and rowed properly. I won a month of free car washes.
