    Her response:

    To answer stef: It is not transient, it’s persistent, but varies in severity. Two nephrologists have worked me up and neither can identify the underlying problem causing the proteinuria. They both said they’re not sure if the proteinuria is pathologic, or possibly a benign variant of normal (though this would be unusual). One of them wants to start me on an ACE inhibitor called lisinopril for the generic renal protective effects and recommended I avoid the high protein diet, avoid NSAIDs, and probably avoid creatine.
    My ultimate question is— do a lot of people who lift have protein in their urine too?

    That's what I was thinking. I see nothing amiss about those numbers either. They're actually quite good.
