My grip strength is extremely weak and I have to use straps when deadlifting. Is it ok to add exercises to train my grip strength or should I wait until I complete my NLP?

If so which exercises would you recommend and which days should I do them?

How much can you deadlift without straps?

When in the deadlift sets do you add the straps? Grip? Chalk?

Was this a double-overhand, a hook, or an alternate grip?

Only straps now. Before I started using those I would use liquid chalk sometimes.

Alternate grip, I am not sure if I used chalk or not because I rarely used it back then and only use straps now.

Use a double-overhand grip for all your warmups, and strap the work sets. As you get stronger, your warmup weights go up and your grip strength improves.
