As I understand it the intermediate program involves increasing your squat on a weekly basis rather than every session (or twice per week as in the advanced novice stage).

Are the "intensity" days of the intermediate program as hard as the final sessions of the novice phase? I found the last few sessions to be extremely challenging and have been scared to go to the gym before each session. I finally managed to hit 110kg (high bar) for 3x5 with good form recently at a bodyweight of 75kg. I use high bar because I prefer it but I know that I should be doing low bar and will probably be able to keep increasing if I switch to low bar. I am happy with 110kg though.

Is this the point at which the true men are separated from the cowards?

I am just asking so I can mentally prepare myself for intermediate programming.

Please don't, this was a serious question. I have now found the answer in the practical programming book. I can live with 1 hard set per week.
