Steak and Shake burger chain to start frying in beef tallow.
I am not a big "burger and fries" guy, but I may have to give this place a fair try. Evidently, all locations are supposed to have beef tallow phased in by the end of January. Ive eaten there before, nothing great. Better than McDonalds, not as good as 5 guys. But cooking in beef fat is extremely appealing.
By the way, how much cholesterol is in saturated fat? (hint: look at coconut oil - its 90% sat fat)

Hello, dear Mr. Rippetoe. I am 44 years old and bodyweight 231 lbs ,NLP the 5th weeks,3 workouts per week, Squat 320×5×3,Press 99×5×3,Deadlift345.×5, I eat 35 eggs one day to fit my body weight protein. will this lead to excessive cholesterol intake? At the same time, there are a few bubbles in my urine. Does it mean that my kidneys are overloaded? Best Regards from china.
What is your serum cholesterol? Get it tested. And the bubbles in your urine are from the cheap beer you guys make in China.
I remember when everything was fried in beef tallow until the 90s, when people objected to Mcdonald's using tallow for their french fries etc. Mcdonald's and others switches to seed oils then. Now people want them to switch back. In the 90s, I was laughing and saying, if people are concerned about the saturated fat content of french fries, maybe they just shouldn't eat them.
That would make too much sense. Better to make McDonald's do things your way.
