Snatch to 174, forget whether I made it once at 174 or not, fail 3x at 174, just couldn't hold onto it in the bottom position, hit a few easy at 159.
clean for some reason was having trouble hitting 209. gave up
    a set of 5 press at 135
    some curls at 50.
coming back tomorrow for squats and some other stuff.

I remember reading something about chinese lifters doing overhead squats with weights similar to their front squats, but from the bottom up.

Sorry if im remembering this wrong (might be BS) but seems like an excellent way to fix problems coming out of the hole on sntaches.

It's not so much coming out of the hole as sticking the landing.

For anybody interested, I am thinking snatch balances are the key to this. http://weightliftingepiphanies.blogs...t-article.html I'm going back to the gym tonight, I'll do squats (probably 365) and snatch balances (probably 80kg). Procedure will probably be to take bar out of rack, do snatch balance, drop to ground, clean it, put it in the rack, repeat. I might throw in an overhead squat just to get a little more comfortable and spend some more time under the bar.

was going to go last night, but work let out early and wife had a couple errands to run that required me, so i decided to just go today instead. except saturday morning workouts always SUCK for me, so i just made it lightish.

    snatch to 165
    c+j to 209, failed at 219.
    f sq 245x3x5
    went home.

Shoulder felt funky. Also, a morning workout because gym closed in afternoon.
    Snatch to 149
    Clean to 219
some dumbbell rows. left out jerk, cut out snatches early because overhead hurt, arm moving slow.
    Tomorrwo: squats and stuff.

also, just going light because the meet is on saturday

EDIT: I think I'm going to do more PL stuff after this meet. Just going back on SS linear progression.

Squat 365x3x5 felt good and fast.
Push press 149x4,3,4,4 just taking as many sets as I need to get 15 reps.
went home. Meet on Saturday. Will do my warmups on Thursday.

So I did 75X 75 80 and 100 105 110 at the meet for a total of 190. I have more strength in me for the snatch, am just a little unstable overhead. was surprised at the ease of the cleans, the 110 was powered up and the jerk was easy.
