Thurs. Jan.27/2011
SQ -- 3x5x190lbs
Press -- 3x5x137lbs (microloading with the Fastenal washers and used a belt)
Deadlift -- 1x5x235lbs (jumped up 10lbs from last deadlift session and wore a belt)
Squats were again noticeably heavy but aside from a little bit of drifting forward (reminding myself to lift my toes inside my shoes to counter), they went fine.
The press was a bitch, however. I decided to microload since I had a grind of a time the last time I pressed and it was a good idea because I fought for every rep of every set. I seem to have an issue with letting my glutes losing tightness
when I start grinding the rep and have to consciously remember to clench them again (no joking pls 8-) ). Last thing I need to do is hyperextend my back....
Something felt funny in my lower back on my 2nd last rep of my top deadlift set. I hope it's nothing serious.
Otherwise, it was a decent session.
Later on:
Pipe and softball rolling, stretching and took the dogs for a walk.

Mon. Jan.31/2011
SQ -- 3x5x195lbs (belted for worksets)
B.Press -- 3x5x175lbs
Back Exs -- 3x10x45lbs
Chins -- 8,4,4
Life gets in the way but got this one in the log book finally. Nothing particularly
"hard" but I'm noticing the weight in the benchpress now. No danger of misses but I'm starting to fight to keep a decent bar path here.
ps: I'm hungry.
pps: too cold to take the boys for their walk. -38C with the windchill. Ain't happening.

Against my better judgement:
Wed. Feb.2/2011
Did some Pipe roller. ball rolling and stretching and then...
SQ -- 3x5x200lbs (belted for worksets)
Press -- 3x5x138lbs (microloading with washers and AL wheel spacers. Gearheads unite)
P.Cleans -- 5x3x135lbs (ranged from utter crap to merely aweful)
Squats were again noticeable but not unpossible-like.
Press was very slow and last rep of last set, I had to will it up.
Power cleans were terrible. I'm going to unload and drill technique. I feel like the
bar is too far ahead of me and my jump position is wrong.
Marathon. Think marathon.
Taking the boys for a walk. We're getting another break in the cold weather.

Workout
SQ -- 3x5x205lbs (belted on last warmup set and all work sets)
B.Press -- 3x5x180lbs (lots in the tank for these -- call me Captain.Upperbody...bleh)
Back Ex -- 2x10x45lbs ( I was wasted so I only did 2 sets)
Chins -- 6,5 (again cut short because of the aforementioned "wasted" feeling)
Some glute/hip stretching stuff and off to eat stuff.
I felt a bit of "butt wink" on my last workout and since I had hurt my back late last summer, decided
to cut my depth a little this time around and fight to keep my back flat at the bottom. The weight is still
light but I'm a bit more respectful this time around.
Bench press felt easy for some reason I can't explain.
Assistance exercises were so-so. I had been shoveling snow earlier so my chins
were crap thus I cut them short.

Mon. Feb.7/2011
SQ -- 3x5x210lbs (belted)
Press -- 3x5x139lbs (belted as well)
Deadlift -- 1x5x245lbs (messed up on my warmup weights. Bad MT)
R. Hypers -- 3x10x40lbs
Normally, I'd give myself an extra days' recovery but I'm starting 4 graveyards tonight so I figured I'd get my workout in now since my recovery is even crappier working graveyards.
I'm going to redo the Press weight since my form is suffering here and I really struggled on my last set.

Sat Feb.12/2011
SQ -- 3x5x215lbs (belted and bike helmeted)
B.Press -- 3x5x185lbs
Back Ex -- 3x10x45lbs
Chins -- 6,5,4
Playlist: Yaki-Da, Ace of Base and a generic laugh track. I was in a confused mood
throughout my workout. I can't put my finger on it though.
All the weights were doable, no fear of not making any of my lifts. I do however, hate chins and I do ,now, know why, my body weight has increased.
Off to take the boys for a walk and then eat.
ps: I finally got my LCD routine debugged on my microcontroller project. Woohoo. It was a head slapper too.

Tues Feb.15/2011
Took the boys for a walk and later that day...
SQ -- 3x5x220lbs (belted)
Press -- 3x5x139lbs (redo from last Press workout. I didn't like my form -- belted)
P.Cleans -- 5x3x125lbs (deload from last time. Form was shit and I hurt my wrist. I don't like hurting myself so...)
Workout was fine. My clean form was better but I'm going to hammer away at this weight until I'm more consistant on it. I don't like catching the bar
on my wrist. It sucks.
Playlist: Killswitch Engage, Savage Garden.

Fri. Feb.18/2011
SQ -- 3x5x225lbs (belted. this sucked)
B.Press -- 3x5x190lbs (left shoulder was clicking a little bit.)
Back Ex -- 1x10x45lbs (gave up after one set)
Chins -- hahahah. No.
Nothing like lifting directly after waking up but I have to work tonight and I'm
trying to not go too many days between workouts. Totally zonked and
just ground through the weights. My form on squats was iffy (back loosened up a little) and I'm sure my knees were all over the place. Will meditate on this.
Too cold to take the boys for their walk. They were very disappointed with me.

Mon. Feb.21/2011
SQ -- 3x5x225lbs (no belt this time and tried to narrow my stance a little)
Press -- 3x5x139lbs (belted)
Deadlift -- 1x5x255lbs (itty bitty linesmans' belt - probably didn't do much)
Squats felt better this time around since I had something to eat beforehand. I think I'm going too wide with my stance and pushing my knees out too far needlessly. My right knee has been bugging me since my last workout and I don't kneed (heh) that. Still, this was not easy.
Press was a repeat again since I wasn't happy with my form ( it felt like a bit too much back bend) the last couple of times. This time seemed better
form-wise but last rep/last set was a grinder.
Deadlift -- I tried out some cues in this thread. It felt weird but the pull did feel "shorter". Dunno.

Thurs. Feb.24/2011
SQ -- 3x5x230lbs (belted)
B. Press -- 3x5x195lbs
Back Ex -- 2x10x45lb
R.Hypers -- 3x10x40lbs
Squats were....easy. I never had any worry about falling forward, backwards. Very solid.
Bench press was...easy too. No worries about being pinned or anything. Bar path was a little wobbly but I'm satisfied. Shoulders weren't complaining either. nice.
I only did 2 sets of back extensions since by the time I got done my 2nd set, my back felt like it had had enough.
I'll do some chins later tonight.
