It's funny. Smooth jazz seems to elicit a strong response. I know it's elevator music, but i got hooked on it some years ago when I went to work in contract security and found it calmed me down while people and things were going to shit around me. I listen to it because it relaxes me more so than the BP thing. I need to walk on to the tatami as relaxed as I can be so as to avoid getting hurt. Massages are good but expensive. Don't have have the $ for them. Also I have touching issues. I don't get touched by anyone I am not related to willingly. A few people have stitches to verify this. Thank you for the advice though, JM3.
Off to the gym to finally begin lifting again after some much needed down time from PR weeks.
5 minutes warm up on the stationary bike.
Deload week so no big poundages here.
Bench Press: 100x5, 120x5, 145x5. I did a 3 second pause on the chest, and man, did that make it hard! Even with light weights.
Pull Up: -100x5, -80x5, -55x5.
I did some squatting practice and acclimation to get back into it again with 95x5 and 135x5. Even this was challenging given making sure I was at parallel or below and my lower back feels it a bit. I'll be going for 185 and 225 later next week.
