Thank you gentlemen, one and all.

I got the lifting roster this morning via email. The event will be taking place just on Saturday the 14th. The original announcement had the 14th and 15th I guess as a place holder if there was a really huge turnout. I'm in the Raw Men's Master's 60-65 @ 275 lbs. If the order of roster listed is any guide, I'll likely get started around 12:00 and hopefully duck the worst heat of the day in the later afternoon. I made my 3rd attempt in the DL in Santa Barbara at 9:30 and failed because it was past my bed time and I was tired. So I've been banking up sleep to extend my bed time the last several weeks as well as lifting during the afternoon after work instead of O-dark 30 as I had for decades before to get used to the later efforts. The awards come out at the end of the meet so, I may leave and come back depending on how the timing goes.

Early weigh-in and gear check is on Friday which I took off. So I'll take care of that then and see what I can do to get a better handle on the timing of my own events. The battery fan I ordered arrived last night and is a piece of non-working shit. So I'll be returning it and getting something else.

If you have problems with heat like I do consider getting a big cooler full of ice and some towels that you can dip into the rapidly melting water to cool off. Works like a charm.

    Weight: 255.5

    Deload

    Bench Press: 95-5,115-5, 140-5.

The battery operated fan I ordered was junk. So I exchanged it for a Chill Pad. Keeps you cool for hours it says. Just dip it in cold water. Really getting my head in the place to get challenging things accomplished. But the minimization of weights and other activity I have to say is not easy to stick to. But I want to go in strong on Saturday.
