The main thing I continue to feel is fatigue. Lots of sleeping again last night and I feel a nap coming on for later today. No test results, with the Health Department on break for the Holidays. I suppose this state of suspense is nothing less than I deserve for having baited the tiger in Indiana and returned to infest my family.
As I mentioned in Ask Rip some days back, DB and I tested positive for the Kung Flu and got out of quarantine on Tuesday. The fatigue and brain fog continues, but is diminishing a little today. Also some depression has been dogging me. I get it sometimes between Christmas and New Years. It's not surprising between having lost a couple of guys I used to work with on Carbondale PD this past year, the quarantine, the messy election, and hitting 70 this year.
So what to do to pull out of this downward spiral? Hit the iron. The fatigue and sleeping a lot kept me away, but I know there are people on this site facing far greater challenges than me who get into the gym. Back to the Den for some lifting this morning.

It seems to be reinvigorating me.
The fatigue and brain fog are ebbing away, but they left Churchill's black dog stalking me in their wake. I woke up with inexplicable aches all over, right foot, left knee, lower back, and right shoulder. The mental and physical combination were not conducive to getting into the gym this morning. But go I did anyway to try to banish it all.

I got home and the family black dog, Kronk, greeted me joyously. Kronk is always confident he's only a few wags of his tail away from happiness and attention. It took one black dog to chase off the other black dog and cheer me up.
Thats a good sign, hope recovery continues on that path.
Some conditioning this morning, and boy is it refreshing not to feel like was dragged behind a train. Rounds of speed bag, box jumps, cable woodchoppers, kettlebell swings, heavy bag, plate halos, clap push ups, and medicine ball tosses.
The fatigue and brain fog seem to have been left behind. Hoping it stays that way.
