Woot! I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I take it the bone spurs and frayed tendons were wear that accrued over time?

The bones spur are a lifetime of wear, Les The frayed tendons, don't really know. The next time I go in to give blood for my liver tests he is going to check me for rheumatoid arthiritis since that eats bone away and should tell us more.

Bone spurs ain't fun. I'm not sure how the doc could diagnose that the tendons are actually frayed from just an x-ray. I was told my achilles was hunky dory based on the initial x-ray, but when my foot was given an MRI there was all sorts of nastiness visible. Maybe you've got some calcification/tendonosis going on there.

The calcium deposits in the tendons were sticking out like sore thumbs, John. As was the fraying. Those new digital Xrays are amazing. He did say if I had anymore problems or if I didn't get over this one, an MRI was the next order of business.

I'm just guessing that at some point in the future I'll be going in for some major repair work.

My knee has been feeling much better this morning until a few minute ago my wife was looking out the kitchen window and saw a coyote heading to the chicken pen that I had left open last night to let the little girls out and get some greens and bugs. Grabbed my CZ452 rifle and ran out there and killed him before he got any of my hens. Now my knee is starting to ache from the little bit of running I did.....

Hope you feel better oldster- Ive never had bone spurs but 'treated' plenty of them. They seem awful.
