I did some bar/grip measurements today after watching Skid's grip. Measurements between thumbs with my widest grip is 18". When I go very close there is 17" between thumbs. Distance from the outer part of my hand to the power ring is 'about' 3".

Lifted on my way home from running errands, garbage dump, drug and hardware stores. My wife asked me to pick up a cloth measuring tape for one of our granddaughters. Perfect! I used it to measure my upper arm before (cold) and after (massive pump) lifting. I was pretty surprised. Before-18 1/8". After-18 1/8", both arms. Wha' what? I was hoping for that big Hans and Frans pump!

Cloth tape stretches. I'm sure you had 20" at minimum.

17" is where my knurling ends. I rarely go that close as that bothers my wrists and shoulders. The close grip I normally use is 19".

That's cause you're doing your bicep curling all wrong! You're supposed to "command them to grow" CT Fletcher style

Hey, we're lifters and our job is to encourage and help one another, IMHO! You're doing great, Jerry!

Heh, sounds like I have been doing it wrong!

I'm not the sharpest tack in the box, case in point that should have made my pipes grow a bit. A few years ago someone posted a video, and I thought to myself, "hell, I could do that!" Some fellow curled 160 pounds for 30 reps and my goal was to get 31. Over the next months I worked hard at it, making it to around 155x27 or somewhere in that area, until banging the tip of my elbow and damaged the triceps tendon. My arms were finally growing a teeny little with the high reps, darn it!

Oh, and the fellow who curled 160x30? I found out later he was the worlds strongest man that year...sheesh...

I think there's one old guy out there somewhere in the northwoods who could give those strong men some serious competition.
