    Hi all,

I want to get back to training so I thought I would make a log to keep track of it. I injured myself doing SS by lifting to heavy with bad technique. Resulted in a break of strength training but now it is time for lifting again. I have gotten interested in olympic lifting and messed around some but haven't really trained consistent but now I will give Dan Johns program a try:

Start with a little Warm Up
Snatch : 8 Sets of Doubles
Clean and Jerk :8 Sets of Singles
Front Squat: 5 Sets of 5
    Press : 5 Sets of 3

Going to train 3-4 times a week.

Yesterday I just tried the lifts and did some singles and doubles.

    C&J 60
    Snatch 45
    Front squat 60

Other stats: 23 years old, around 80 kg and 185 cm

    Looking forward to tomorrows training!

Stupid gym was closing 8 instead of 9. I had time for roughly half of the workout. If I don't get to drunk tonight I will squat tomorrow instead.

    Snatch: 8x1 40
    Clean and jerk: 8x1 55

Didn't make some of the jerks today. Same weights on monday!

Felt good this morning so I went and trained. I did some cleans for warm up and form felt solid so I worked up to 60 and did some singles. Worked up to 60 in the front squat aswell, didn't feel like doing set of fives today.

Worked up to a heavy single to see where I am at

    62.5 clean
    42.5 snatch

I want to clean 70 and snatch 50 in three weeks.

Good decision to start oly lifting!

But if you just started and you don't have a trainer, maxing out and working up to a heavy single, is not optimal imo. Maybe you incorporate some Hangs or High Pulls? Just an idea..

    Hang snatches 8x1 30
    Clean and Jerk :8x1 60
    Front Squat: 5x5 57.5
    Press : 5x3 35

Failed alot of jerks, staying at 60. So far I have only done power snatches so today I practiced full snatches from hang position. Going to try full snatches at 40 friday and see if form holds.

Thats probably true. Just wanted to see if I was progressing! How would one incorporate hangs and high pulls? Wouldnt want to fuck to much with the program.
