    BW: 95.5kg

    Paused Squat
    20kg 1x10
    60kg 1x5
    90kg 1x3
    110kg 3x5 (2 sec pause)

    Incline press
    20kg 1x10
    60kg 1x5
    80kg 1x2
    70kg 1x3
    80kg 1x2 (PR)
    75kg 3x3 (PR)
    65kg 1x6

I grossly overestimated my strength on these, originally I was aiming for 90kg, but even the 80 buried me. Looks like my presses are quite incline-y as these weights reflect roughly my press strength. Anyway I'll have to start from a much lower weight than expected.

    RDL
    60kg 1x5
    90kg 1x3
    110kg 2x5 (PR)

These were fine, used straps on the work sets to save my grip.

    Dips
    BW x5
    +21kg 1x3
    +31kg 1x5
    +36kg 1x4

Lost some strength on these, plus my sternum still hurts when doing these, so that also bothered me. I might have to give them a longer rest and maybe do LTE's instead as a triceps accessory.

Gym also got refurbished, the free-weights area is in a much more roomy place now. I don't need to worry anymore about smashing the lights on the low ceiling. They also got an extra set of bumpers, a couple of more benches and some new bars, although those are thick, cheaper ones. Luckily the thinner bar that I normally use is still there. Altogether it's a nice upgrade.

Don't you hate those thicker bars? My gym has as many crappy thick bars as they do the normal ones. It's hard to grip the bigger bars tightly.

Yeah. Also noticed today that the new set of bumpers they've acquired are a good 2 inches larger in diameter. I guess those were cheap too.

That was it for today. My back is bothering me a bit these days, although it's more prominent outside training, and during squats to some degree. That might be just because it was the first exercise, and I got more warmed up as the training progressed. During deadlifts, it was fine actually. It doesn't help either, that I'm sleeping on an airbed at the moment. A couple more nights, and we'll have our new mattresses. I'll have to be more careful though, plus I'll stretch my back every day.

The worst back issues I've ever had were when I was sleeping on a bad mattress. The day after I replaced it the back was better.

Yeah, got our new mattress, and I can already feel a difference.

Better than last time. I'll probably jump 1.5kg next week then proceed with 1kg jumps.

Another solid session. I like that I do slightly different exercises each day, and I can push them hard, and still keep the Heavy, Light, Medium concept. Maybe I needed this variety for psychological reasons.

The gym staff recently got anal about no gym bags in the gym area. Maybe after the refurbishment they think they've become a globo gym or something. They had no problems with it for over a year, since I've been paying them, but suddenly it became an issue. Jerks leaving around loaded barbells, dumbbels and plates is ok I guess, but a gym bag will cause "people to trip" apparently. This pissed me off a little, so I forgot to measure my bodyweight. Luckily I did not fail any worksets.
