I can't stand nervous spotters that grab the bar when it slows down. I've been robbed of pr's too many times.

Yeah, I know. He just laughed it off saying "it looked real hard, were you gonna press that?!" Jerk.

    09/30

    V-grip pulldowns - 60-100kg sets of 6-12
DB rows - these hurt my back so I stopped
    Curls - 20-40kg sets of 8-10
    Rear delts - 4x10
    Machine rows - 3x10
Squat - 20kg 1x10, 20kg 1x5, 30kg 1x5, 40kg 1x5, 50kg 3x5 the bottom of the ROM still hurts, if I contract my abs real hard, then it just very slightly hurts.

Had a "back day" at the local wellness gym. Wanted to do weighted chins but the only pullup bars were either too wide (where the middle portion is missing) or like thickbars and my grip slipped even with chalk. Tried straps but I couldn't get them tight enough. Fucked around for a while then I did a bunch of V-grip pulldowns instead. My back didn't like the jerky part of a heavy DB row, so those sucked. Bit disappointed that squats still give me the grief, looks like this will be a long battle...

I hope your back recovers soon. I haven't had back issues in a long time but I did follow Starr's rehab protocol. I know Rip says it's just for muscle belly tear but it seemed to help me move past my back issues.

Thanks man! Unfortunately what information I've gathered about this SI joint issue, the Starr rehab doesn't seem to work for it. The problem is that squatting with just the bar hurts, and it doesn't feel like rehab pain. If I squat high, it doesn't hurt, but I'd rather not do that. I might try some light RDLs or DLs to see how I like those. What seemed to help so far is just not doing anything for the lower body, and time passing. Not sure if that's a good idea though, but doing yesterday's light squats set me back on the pain scale, so what I'm now is puzzled and somewhat demotivated as Bench press is my least favourite lift, and I can do just that without pain. Perhaps trying to focus on it might give back some motivation, but that hasn't been the case yet. :-)

    Chins - 3x5
    Seated DB Press - 20kgs 3x12
Hammer Curls/Rolling DBs - 10kg/15kg 12/12, 12.5kg/17.5kg 12/12, 15kg/20kg 12/10 My forearms were toasted from this, and they were sore from the last training session too.

Defranco's agile 8 for warming up. Don't think all of these are worth the time for me. I'll definitely do something similar next time though.
Squat - 20kgx10, 30kgx5, 40kgx5, 50kgx5, 60kgx5 These were all belted, and with a hard ab contraction. No pain at all, which is promising.
Deadlift - 20kgx5, 30kgx5, 40kgx5, 50kgx5, 60kgx5 First few sets beltless, others belted. A slight discomfort is still there with these.
    Chins - 2, 10kg 3x5

Press from rack - 60kg 1x3@8, 70kg 1x6@9.5, 70kg 3x5@9 - I've used a belt from the second 70kg set, felt much better than last time I've used a belt on the press, I'll keep to it for a while as my back felt better with it as well.
    DB Bench - 20kgs 1x10, 30kgs 3x10
    BB Curl - 20kg 1x10, 40kg 3x8
Dips - BWx10, +12.5kgx8, BWx8 - Chesticle area was quite tired from previous pressing work, these dipping numbers are quite bad compared to my abilities.
