I travelled this weekend and sleep and diet were subpar. Consequently, my cold got worse. I felt horrible this morning, but I've got extra impetus to train now. I've decided to sign up for the SC USAPL meet taking place in December.
No belt and wearing converse shoes on squats today. I'm going back to LP with squats.
I probably looked like I was having a seizure by the third set of presses.

Too sick and tired to go yesterday. I've had enterovirus. Thankfully it's the non-polio kind so it presents like a bad cold.
Wanted to do power snatches but a gym employee put a stop to that. Form was crap on power cleans. I can't rack the bar well. Called it at 155 because my right bicep was starting to make noise.
245x5 on bench ties a PR 5rm.
No belt and converse on squats.

Workout from yesterday.
Presses felt heavy even during warmups. The groove was off. My bicep tendonitis has crept back the last few workouts, but I think strength was the bigger issue here. Still, it's a PR for weight. Curls to try to keep the biceps happy.
I decided not to do the USAPL meet in December after incurring some unexpected expenses this weekend. Maybe next year.

Presses were crap. Bicep tendonitis was awful today - arms were in pain for everything heavier than the bar. I woke up with my arms in a bent position this morning, which I'm sure exacerbates it. I don't know how I'd go about preventing that while unconscious...
Anyway, I'm going to spend a lot time stretching and massaging my arms and shoulders over the next few days. Ibuprofen, too.
