Wed., 4/11. 217.8#. Steak & Broccolli is my life now. I have a good life.

    Squat: 45x..., 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 300x8,8,8.

    keeping it simple this week.

egg pie! with a side of fried meatloaf. You might think egg pie is actually quiche, but it's not. It's simpler than that, and easier to say with a straight face.

    Default Egg Pie

    - per one 9" pie crust (I used to really care about how the crust was made. Now, not as much.), you will use:

    - about 10 eggs
    - about 2 handfulls of shredded cheese
    - a glorp of cream
    - a three-fingered pinch of salt

    1. Poke your crust with a fork and pre-bake for about 10 minutes at 400.

    2. Meanwhile, beat the eggs with the cream & salt.

    3. When the crust is ready, spread a layer of cheese over the bottom.
Then, pour in about half the eggs.
Then, add about half of what cheese is left.
Then, add the rest of the eggs.
Then, add the rest of the cheese.

So, it goes: cheese, eggs, cheese, eggs, cheese. Got it?

    4. Bake it for about 30 minutes or so at 400, until a dome of cheezy crust forms on top. The center should still be fairly soft & custardy, like professionally-scrambled eggs.
Let the pie set for as long as it takes to fry the meatloaf slices.

Dude, you're KILLing me!! yum, fried meatloaf. I finished the last of my new favorite (good eats Good Eats Meatloaf Recipe | Alton Brown | Food Network) two days ago (w/fried eggs, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks...) I might need to make it fit my macros and put this one on repeat, I'm waking hungry at night wanting it!

    Chicken tikka masala with rice.

Sat., 4/14. Shoveling snow, then chipping & scraping ice, then shoveling ice. Light cardio & back, plus the ice adds light shoulder work.

Beetlejuice. It holds up. Funny how, as a kid, I really identified with Wynona Rider's character. Now, I identify more with Jeffrey Jones' character.

Tues., 4/24. 216.6#. Gym is not crowded, but all the racks & platforms are taken. the paradigm has shifted. To the garage:

    DL: 135x8, 225x5, 315x2, 365x1, 410x2. Feels good.

Tire Flips: 3,2,2,3. These went really well. revisited the technique:
    1. grip shoulder width, wide finger spread.
    2. press chest firmly against the tire. elbows will flex. that's okay.
    3. squeeze glutes, scapulae, lats. almost as if to DL, but then:
    4. drive forward, forward, forward. if done right, the knee kick is just to help drive it up - should not rely on knee kick to get through the transition from underhand to overhand. Also, be mindful of fingers - my L middle finger popped quite loudly on the first rep. Not injured, but it's sore.

Anyway, no bruises on biceps or shoulders: Success.
