The program for the next 6 wks, M-F:
Clean (once to get weight up) & press - 45-65lbs - total 10 reps
    Clean (once) & front squat - 95-135 - total 20 reps
    Deadlift - 140-190 - total 10 reps

And here's what I did today
    PC to press
    35 x 10
    55 x 5 x 2

    PC to FS
    55 x 5 x 2
    75 x 3 x 3

    RDL
    75 x 10

Not the sorest I've ever been, but quite sore. Got in the garage to just move a little and get the blood moving. Will probably stay light for a few days.

Well, good thing I do learn from experience. I will not try to max out on two types of squats in one day again. DOMS!!!

    Today
    PC to press
    35 x 10
    55 x 5 x 2

    PC to FS
    55 x 5 x 2
    75 x 5 x 2

    IR 5 x 2

Still sore. My fault. Still sleepy.

I realized that one thing that got in the way of consistently deadlifting was that I hated loading the bar. So yesterday, I took some scrap wood in the garage and hacked together a little stand that will hold the bar high enough to load and unload the 50lb plates without dragging them on the ground.

I tested it out and it's a lot better than what I was doing which was effortful and more uncomfortable.

    Then I did some deadlifts
    175 x 5 x 2

    PC to FS
    75 x 5 x 2

--R wrist was noticeable in the rack position making me wonder if I should get wrist straps

    DL
    175 x 5 x 2

Current weather 88F/31C -- ick. Then again, this sort of weather is about 2-3 wks late. So I should be thankful.

Went ahead and ordered some Titan wrist wraps. I've had wrist pain in my right hand regularly in the past 10 yrs and more acutely recently with all these front squats.

Can't hurt to give them support. The wraps weren't expensive.

It never hurts to get a bit of support. And new toys are always fun!

    55 x 5 x 2

    DL
    155 x 5 x 2

It's great that you can even do Front Squats. I could not get the hang of it. Of course I don't really fully get the hang of squats except with the harness. I don't have the flexibility. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Tell me more about the harness, Carson.

I would be doing back squats if I had a rack of any sort, but after a few months, I'm used to front squats and enjoying my "old school" -- no power rack or bench -- workouts. My wrists are enjoying the front squats less. But most of all, I enjoy that I haven't lost all the progress I had made last year even though I can't do a regular SS/TM type workout and program.

Speaking of wrists, my wrist wraps arrived, but Wed, Thurs, and Fri this week got filled to overflowing. So I haven't been able to try them out. But I'm taking the weekend off (as much as a mom can) and I'll get a workout in and see how things go.
