    3 x 80kg
    3 x 90kg
    6 x 102.5kg (a new rep record)

Week 2 has been kind to me - 3 rep records from 4 sessions. I'll take that thanks very much......

Good on you, Matt. I am currently a 5/3/1 guy myself. Keep up the progress.

Thanks Brian. I've marvelled at your own story and been inspired by it. I hope you continue to progress and post top quality videos along the way!

    Week 1 - Deadlift

    5 x 95kg
    5 x 110kg
    6 x 123.5kg

I felt it would be tough today before I even entered the gym. Got one of those low lying colds developing. Sneaky little bugger that seems to slowly sap your energy......no rep records today.

    Week 1 - OH Press

    5 x 43.5kg
    5 x 51kg
    7 x 57.5kg (a rep record by a smidge)

Still not right, but some progress none the less.

    Week 1 - Squat

    5 x 78.5kg
    5 x 90kg
    7 x 102.5kg (a small rep record again)

Seem to have a real psychological issue once I get to 100kg on my squats. I always start to have doubts about getting the prescribed reps in the time between loading the bar and then getting the first rep done. I had to go back through my log to see what reps I had done previously with loads at, or above, 100kg just to settle my nerves. It showed that I had added reps each time I did 102.5kg, but still it was hard to get my self in the right place mentally.

Anyone else have a "magic number" that causes them to freak out?

So, 3 out of 4 sessions yielded rep records again this week. I might not be strong yet, but I'm very consistent!!

    Week 2 - Deadlift

    3 x 102.5kg
    3 x 116kg
    10 x 131kg ( a rep record by 10kg)

After last week's poor D/L session and Friday's tough squat session I was worried I might not be recovered properly today. Turns out that pizza and whisky are magical recovery foods folks.

    Week 2 - OH Press

    3 x 47.5kg
    3 x 55kg
    6 x 61kg (a rep record by 1kg)

    Assistance - Face pulls 4 x 6 @ 30kg.

After yesterday's ego boosting 10kg rep record on the deadlift I manage a poultry 1000g today.....I'll take it none the less.

I had this at 100kg squat too, and also at 70kg bench, during my LP. I refused to re-set the bench and repeated 70kg about 5 times before I got all my reps, but the next few weeks were no problem.
