Some rows this AM. I read an article recently about not taking "recovery" so literally. I'll take tomorrow off but saw no reason why I couldn't get some reps in. Felt good, glad I did.

A little, but so what? I've been chasing Ithryn, Dave P, and Peez's squats since I started. A little friendly competition.

Proverbs 28:20 - "Committed and persistent work pays off; get-rich-quick schemes are ripoffs." (MSG translation)

Obviously true in finances, but just as applicable to strength gains. No such thing as an easy path to strength...consistent effort and small, steady gains produce the right results.

I thought this after my session this AM. Nothing spectacular about my workout - squats, overhead- and bench press, no max efforts - but it was the kind of workout that will get me to the goal. 500 deadlift by the end of the year is a tall order w/ a current max of 405 but as I think about it, jumping 20 lbs the end of each month between now and New Year's Eve gets me there - 425 Aug, 445 Sept, 465 Oct, 485 Nov, 500+ Dec.
