so i got really drunk on melbourne cup day (tuesday) and have thus decided to call this a deload/joker week.

went in on thursday and did some heavy singles on squat.

got up 140kg but failed at 150. i feel i should have got it easily but didn't.

got up 117kg on bench tng pretty good.

going to try some heavy deadlifts on saturday and maybe some press too. back to normal training next week.

    had another fun session today.

    tried some deadlift singles.

warmed up to 160kg and it flew up so i figured i would give 180kg a go.

    went up better than expected.

    fixed the music

I sort of feel like I am at the point where the volume day on monday would work well for my press and bench especially. But I am working back up after a huge(down to the bar) deload after hurting my shoulder. So I am making one last run on linear progression before I switch.

Nice job on the DL PR!

    Week 7 Workout 1

    Volume Day

Squat 5x5 @ 121kgs (this was hard - all sets were about 8.5-9)
Bench 5x5 @ 200lbs (pretty good, short breaks)
ran out of time to do back extensions.

former pro weightlifter has joined the gym.

he was having an off day and feeling weak only power cleaning 160kgs like it was the bar for me.

made me feel very weak and puny.

I know that feeling - used to train with a masters IPF lifter. would come in and throw 120kg on the bench to start warming up with
