Have you ever had gout? It can flare up in the hands too.

I've got exactly the same pain, left wrist, but I did it by trying to jam in too many bench press sets before fire training started last night. Pulled something when my form got sloppy due to too short rests between sets. One has to approach the big 6-0 carefully.

I never had any gout issues as far as I know. It feels as though I jammed my thumb, although I didn't do any thing to cause that . I was thinking it could have been caused when lowering the bar DLifting, but it was almost a week since I last did them. I remember having this same pain in the same area of my hand a few years ago, it was painful pushing my lawnmower at that time. I still think it is from using my hand like a hammer. I remember being told more them a few times by now ne of the older guys at work, USE A HAMMER NOT YOUR HAND.Thanks to both you guys for the concern.

My hand felt much better today, not 100% .I was pretty sure doing the SB squats wouldn't be a problem, just, had to be carfull loading the plates.
    SB sqts bar/10 95/6 135/5 160/2
    175/5 180/5 185/5 with belt
    Inc BB press bar 10 55/8 60/6 67.5/8
    EZB curl 30/8 50/6 8 8
I wrapped my hand and thumb with an ace bandage before the press and curls to stabilize my thumb, wasn't to painful. I hope by Monday I will be able to DL.

My hand feel 99% healed and shoulder not painful although the left side is still weak.
I am going to do something along the lines of MEH's workout and what I read in Wendlers Grey Pubes chapter.
I am going to try a sort LP set and reps scheme but doing more reps on the last set if I can like what I read on the Greyskul site.

Had a load of snow here this weekend and spent quite a few hours snow blowing and shoveling .
My snow blower is not self propelled and the snow was 2ft deep with 3 foot drifts .
I live on a corner so I have plenty of sidewalk to clean, plus I do 2 neighbors houses.
I think doing only a few exercises twice a week will be what I do from now on.

    DOMS BAD!
I did the sqts on Thursday afternoon and was fine Friday during the day, by the evening i began feeling a little sore. Saturday it was getting worse and yesterday morning,Sunday, I could barely get out of my car. I was walking like I was 90 years old and in poor health . The tightness/soreness cramping was in the adductor/hamstring area, not the quads, this morning it is mainly gone. I had been trying to do sqts one week and DL the next week, possibly the time between the exercises is the cause. Or it may be that I don't stretch much before lifting, or at all after. I didn't have this happen when squatted and DL every week. I am scheduled to do bench and rows today so,I should be ok . Next lower body WO is DL. I think I will do them on Wednesday but I will warm up with some light sqts.
