    Friday 3/30/18
    DL,115/10 135/5 185/5 205/2 225/2 Belt 245/1 230/5
    Tricep push down 55/8
    Leg press 250/8 8
I planned to do 245 for 3 on the DL since I did 240 for 5 last time. I didn't think going up 5lbs was going to be a problem. I did have good sleep the night before but didn't eat anything for breakfast except a small yogurt and black coffee. It was ten days since I last DLed. I did sqts on Monday and my legs were sore until Thursday. I don't think the time between doing the lifts is causing me to detrain. I'm feeling it's taking me more to to recover between lifting sessions. I did get 175/5 on my last sqt day and that seemed like my limit. I was thinking of going up on that next time by either 3 or 5 lbs but now in not sure. The weights imhave been using on all my main lifts including the DB BP and press are at my limit for the weight and reps I'm doing . Maybe I need to cycle back and reset to a lower weight maybe do a little more reps and try and work my way back up.i donated blood today and feel a little weak. I guess I wait until Tuesday or Wednsday and try again.Happy Easter and Passover to anyone reading this.

Sounds like you have put a lot of thought into all possible factors in your training. Do you think too many warmup reps affect your DL workset? I do understand the need to warm up more if you DL without having SQ beforehand, in the same training session.

Its a question of me not doing enough or is it too much for me. Still anything is better than doing nothing as long as you don't get injured. I have read intensity rather than volume is best for a geezer like me but sometimes I feel one heavy set at low reps doesn't do much for me.I have also read higher reps build strength and low reps demonstrate it.I know I could do 5 sets of 5 across with 225 for the DL any day yet 245 for 1 was my limit. I need to make some adjustments. Going back and grinding out a single as part of training doesn't seem to be what I should be doing on a regular basis. I have been reading some stuff on Dave Drappers website and he seems to have some different ideas about how people my age should be training.

It's a new month and decided to try something different again. Something along the lines of Matt Bryzinkis and Drew Bayes metabolic WO protocol. A few lifts done back to back then repeated for 2 more rounds. I did the lifts at a normal speed but didn't pause at the top or bottom position on any of them. My only warmup was 2 mintute on the rower, 15 reps on the rev hyper and 10 sqts with just the bar .
    1 SB sqts 95/12 press 65/6 supp. Pulldown 100/8 DB shrug 50/8
    2. 12. 55/ 10. 12. 10
    3. 12. 10. 12. 8
I had to lower the weight for the press after the first round as the program calls for higher reps . They suggest 20- 12 for lower body and 12-8 for all others . I will probably keep the sqts at 95 until I can at least get 15 and make adjustments to the others as I go along. The whole WO including the warmup took about a half hour.

This may not look like much but it sure kicked my ass.I wasn't feeling too well before the WO (stomach issues). The whole thing took about a half hour.
